Cultivating Presence (MBCT)

Cultivating Presence is Eliezer Wildflower Care’s MBCT program, an eight-week virtual course anchored in experiential and collective learning.

Maybe you’re familiar with:

  • the overwhelming feeling that sets in when something unexpected happens

  • numbness and disconnectedness from anything joyful or life giving

  • an unrelenting anxiousness

  • a persistent state of sadness and melancholy

  • panic that swallows you whole when dealing with loss and uncertainty

Cultivating Presence is an opportunity to become more aware of and familiar with the way the mind works, understand how our thought patterns contribute to challenging mood states, and begin establishing new and compassionate ways of engaging with self.

This course is not about making things “better” per se but about learning and nurturing a skill. Cultivating Presence offers a chance to become more aware of and present to our actual lived experience so that we can withstand both the monumental grief and magnificent joy of being alive.

The course runs for a two-hour session each week and includes one extended session about halfway through. Before registering, you must either attend an Introduction to Mindfulness info session OR schedule a 30-minute consultation. Otherwise, your registration will be cancelled.

The next Cultivating Presence cohort is being offered Sept 26 through Nov 14. Register here.
